sebelom aku meneruskan review... nak tanya sket.. korang dah tengok filem Moulin Rouge? hoho... dear musical genre lovers... sila tonton. ^^
okeh! back to reality.
last night aku pegi tengok cerita Dark Shadows lakonan abam Johnny Depp (Barnabas Collins), Michelle Pfeiffer (Elizabeth Collins), dan Eva Green (Angelique). oh tak lupa jugak, key characters, Josette dan Victoria Winters (lakonan Bella Heathcote), dan the too-hot-to-handle Carolyn (lakonan Chloe Grace Moretz).
ok. first time aku tengok trailer Dark Shadows adalah masa nak tengok cerita The Hunger Games. to be honest, aku sangat suka dengan trailer Dark Shadows. why? sebab 1. background music yang happening. 2. nampak macam kelakar kaw2. 3. kombinasi Johnny Depp dan Tim Burton. dan sedari ituuu... Dark Shadows masuk dalam aku punya to-watch list. hehehe. so here's the official trailer..
ahaa.. for your info, US punya official trailers agak lain tau. yang aku embed ni versi UK, similar to Malaysia punyaa~~
aku takmoh review plot cerita... itu korang boleh tengok sendiri atau google je. banyak dah kat internet tu. hahaha. now nak cerita dari sudut 'in my humble opinion' ... =)
Dark Shadows bukanlah filem terbaek Tim Burton. so, prepare your mind siap2 - jangan comparekan citer ni dengan Burton's other box offices. ehe... yeah, kalo korang nak tau, dulu dah pernah ada cerita Dark Shadows di-siri-kan, dan difilemkan. lama daahh.. tahon 60-an, 70-an dulu. so, macam biasalah... bila sebut Tim Burton ni... apa je cerita yang sounds familiar... mesti ada twist yang dia buat. itu kekuatan Tim Burton. tengok je la Alice in Wonderland. hehe...
first 20 minutes korang akan boleh agak ending cerita ni macam mana. agak slow... mellow... solemn... serious... but bila sampai kat scene McDonald's tu... oh dan scene meja makan... dan scene... hahahahaha... xD tak nak citer.. nanti spoil~~ ekeke ^^
tapi tapi... Burton tetap kekalkan elemen dark cerita ni.. (nama pon dark shadows...pffttt...) you know... when you are a vampire... yang immortal for 200 years (196 tahun je benornye... ahaks!) ... and you're brought to 'life' untuk selesaikan hutang2 dendam... and you have to deal with your ex, which was your lover (that you hate), your rival (which is your lover that you hate), and your crush (which your lover - that you hate - hates..) ... argh kompleks! =____="
alritey.. malas nak cakap banyak. things i like bout/in this film?
1. the language (the words of course!) of Barnabas Collins. (LOL!!)
2. the settings, the jokes
3. Carolyn + her ATTITUDE!!
4. the hippies.. (aww.. poor unshaven lads..) bwahaha xD
5. the shops, the dresses, the cars! oh so 70's!!
6. Alice Cooper (the ugliest woman Barnabas Collins has even seen! bwahahaha)
things i dislike?
1. the predictable plot..

All in all... movie ni enjoy ditonton. give it a go! you'll like it somehow. really! ^^

masa aku tengok satu movie sebelom ni... which aku dah lupa movie apa... you know the time sebelom movie starts tu, ada iklan2, preview trailer tu kan? ha..

dalam otak aku sangat terbayang satu cerita pasal vampire yang kelakar habes, macam siri Addam's Family. so memang aku ternanti-nanti la kan. hoho... but. but.. since pengarahnya Tim Burton... aku tapis imaginasi it's-a-fun-wild-movie-to-watch aku tu. hahaha. dah pernah tengok Edward Scissorhands? Alice in Wonderland? Nightmare Before Christmas? all those Tim Burton's? then you will surely know why... hokhok ^^

indeed, antara twist yang paling ketara ialah the humour part. oh sangat mengguling-gulingkan isi perot! part yang lawak, all the scenes and dialogues (especially the dialogues. please please jangan baca subtitle please... sangat joykill.. hahaha) yang kelakar2 tu... memang berjaya buat aku dan audience gelak kaw2. seriously LOL material. =D

speaking of perasaan... hokhok... cerita ini tak sesuai ditonton kanak2 ye... sebab scene kissing, hugging and beyond tu memang ada. oh... Eva Green's superior smexaaayy okaayy~~ raawwr... xD
